QuickSwitch™ Quant Analysis of SARS-CoV-2 mRNA Vaccinations

QuickSwitch™ Quant Analysis of SARS-CoV-2 mRNA Vaccinations

SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccination induces a diverse T-cell response from a single spike epitope. It is important to understand the multiple T-cell clone responses produced by mRNA vaccination.

Aoki, Hiroyasu, et al. (2024), studied cohorts of individuals that received the SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccination. SARS-CoV-2 Spike epitopes, S448, S1208, S269, S919, and S1208 were tested by QuickSwitch Quant HLA-A∗24:02 Tetramer Kit-BV421, HLA-A∗24:02 Tetramer Kit-PE, and HLA-A∗02:01 Tetramer Kit-PE for binding affinity and to generate antigen-specific T cells. The data indicates that T-cell responses between clonotypes have different kinetics. Additionally, the variation in clonal dominance extends not only between, but also within, clonotypes specific to spike epitopes. This study serves as a valuable asset for comprehending T-cell responses induced by vaccines overall.
