3,4-Oxo- isopropylidene-shikimic acid has significant anti-inflammatory, anti-thrombosis, antioxidant, analgesic effects, it has protective effects on experimental colitis induced by trinitrobenzenesulfonic acid in rats, probably due to antioxidant action.
