Further Information

Description:
Penicillin/Streptomycin Solution is a 5mL 100x solution designed to aid researchers in reducing risks of bacterial contamination. It consists of 10,000 units/mL of Penicillin and 10,000 ug/mL of Streptomycin in a saline solution. Penicillin interferes with the final stages of synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, while streptomycin binds to the 30S subunit causing a misread. 1mL of P/S is to be used for every 99mL of medium. The solution is sterile filtered through a 0.2um membrane filter.
Extra Description:
P/S is for research use only. It is not approved for human or animal use, or for application in in vitrodiagnostic procedures.
